How do I join Active Fitness Tamworth?

The easiest way to join Active Fitness Tamworth is:

Click HERE to choose a membership that suits you, complete all the required documents and book an orientation time. 

During your orientation you will receive your access key, sign on pack, towel and tour of the gym. 

Other options to register:

Pop into Active Fitness Tamworth at 425-437 Goonoo Goonoo Road and our friendly staff will assist you with the joining process. Our door is always secured and only accessible via a member access key, so please contact us prior to popping by so we can meet you at the door . 

What are the busiest days and times at the gym?

The busiest periods in the gym differ depending on the season, but the below days and times are generally the busiest:

Monday – Thursday: 4:00am – 10:00am

Monday – Thursday: 3:00pm – 7:00pm 

We are staffed 6 days a week (Sunday by prior appointment only) to ensure that we are on hand to support our members and undertake cleaning duties. 

Will my membership price increase?

If you maintain an active membership with us you will enjoy the same membership price you signed up with forever. 

We do not increase our membership prices for our active members. 

However, if you cancel your membership and decide to re-join, you will need to re-join with the membership prices current to that date. 

What are the member expectations?

Our member expectations include:

  • No Alcohol, Drugs or Violence are permitted at any time whilst at the gym.
  • Clean up after yourself and the equipment you use.
  • Be conscious of other members whilst in the gym (don’t Superset or hog machines in busy periods/ Don’t drop weights unnecessarily and ALWAYS use a towel).
  • If you think it would impact other members and their time in the gym, then generally its not cool!

Our member expectations will be explained in your member orientation process. 

Any breach of member expectations will result in membership access being reviewed and possible restrictions applied.

How long can I suspend my membership for?

Most contract memberships can be suspended for up to 6 weeks in any calendar year.

What are the penalties for breaking contract terms or cancelling?

All members are expected to comply with general terms of use for Active Fitness Tamworth. 

Behaviour that is contrary to the above will result in member/s having their membership reviewed and/or penalty fees applied to their account. 

All minimum term contract memberships (6 and 12 months) will have a ‘breaking’ fee IF the member does not complete their minimum term that they signed up to. The amount is detailed in all contracts dependant on their individual contract terms and also on display at the POS/Counter when you complete your orientation. Otherwise, all memberships required a 30 Day Notice period to ensure accurate management of member accounts.

Medical confirmation may be requested if a member has submitted a cancellation request prior to completion of any minimum term contract. 

All membership/account updates and requests MUST be submitted via email at info@activefitnesstamworth.com.au or in person by the member. No member account requests will be completed via social media.   

I have a failed payment. What should I do?

If you have a failed payment, your access key will be restricted until the account is settled (payment is made). 

The account holder will receive an email and text message with clear instructions on how to address the failed payment. 

If you have a failed payment, your membership account will be debited with a failed payment transaction fee when the next transaction attempt is made.

My access key isn't working. What do I do?

If your access key isn’t working, please check if you have received an email and text regarding a failed payment. If this is the issue, please follow the instructions from the email and text message to unlock your access key. 

Alternatively, if you have issues with your access key and do not have a failed payment, please contact us at info@activefintesstamworth.com.au or talk to one of our staff members so that we can get you re-activated. 

I have a friend that wants to train with me. Can I bring them with me?

If you have a friend, family member or work mate that would like to come with you to train, we have a FREE session on Saturday known as ‘SideKick Saturday’ where you can bring a mate for free during staffed hours (9:00am – 12:00pm).

Alternatively, you can bring your friend in for a casual visit on the weekdays during staffed hours. Please note that casual visits are $20.00 per visit. 

No person is permitted to enter without an access key. Any member who permits access will have their account reviewed and fine allocated (as detailed within your member contract) and displayed throughout the gym
